Driving Licence
Any Boom Trike may be driven with a standard car licence.
Pre Feb 2001 bike licence allows you to ride a trike that weighs less than 550kgs. The Boom Fun 500 Mk II trikes conform to these requirements.
Post Feb 2001 bike licences do not include a provision for trikes.
Helmets
Helmets are not required in the UK. They are required in the rest of Europe.

Payment Terms
Twenty percent deposit with order (bankers draft, electronic transfer) and the remainder on or prior to collection / delivery.
Delivery
We nominally stock five built models for immediate dispatch with all other models and variants available within 6 to 8 weeks of order.
Are they difficult to drive?
No, they are controlled similar to a car, with clutch pedal left foot, brake pedal right foot, gear stick in left hand. Main difference is the throttle positioned on the right hand.
We also have automatic models for crusing comfort.
Can trikes go on motorways?
Yes, Boom Trikes may be driven on UK motorways.
Some European countries only allow European authorized trikes to use their motorways. Boom Trikes are European authorized.
Are seat belts required?
Boom Trikes comply with European regulations and seat belts are not required. They may be fitted as an optional extra.
Lighting Systems
Boom Trikes have are supplied to EU-lighting regulations.
Servicing
Boom Trikes may be serviced at Boom Trikes (UK) Ltd or reputable service centres dependant on engine option, ie VW, Ford, Peougeot.
Disability Driver Options
Boom Trikes are available with full hand controls. If you are a wheelchair or stretcher user the VAT on the whole vehicle is zero rated. Otherwise the adaptations only are zero VAT rated.
